For consumers who need emotional support while in training, mental health services are available in the form of individual counseling or therapy, as well as group settings. HKNC offers a variety of support groups such as Womens' or Mens' Groups, Usher Syndrome Support Group, Young Adults' Group, and Low Vision Group. A social worker is available to meet with families. HKNC also utilizes the services of a consulting psychiatrist.
