The philosophy of the Center is one of self-determination for all consumers. The goal of most consumers is employment.

Our training program offers several training options at our Sands Point, NY, campus.

Dormitory style housing is available for students who are enrolled in on-campus programs.

1) Traditional Program

2) PATH Program

3) Summer Seminar (2 weeks) - for high school students who are deaf-blind

4) Senior Adult Program (2-weeks) - training seminars for adults, 55 and older.

Training and support services are available to all students.

OFF CAMPUS TRAINING

Community Services Program - Students who live in the greater NY area may qualify to be served in their actual home and/or work environment.

APPLYING TO THE HKNC PROGRAM

An Admissions Coordinator works with the HKNC regional representative to assist students through the application process. Most students are sponsored by their state vocational rehabilitation program.
