All donations to HKNC allow us to fulfill our mission to enable each person who is deaf-blind to live and work in their community of choice. You may donate on behalf of a special occasion, to remember a loved one who has passed or to support the Center's mission.

Credit Card Donations
To donate by Credit Card, call (516) 944-8900 Ext. 310, Monday-Friday between 8:45 am – 4:30 pm to provide your information. (Electronic donations will be available soon!)

Memorial Gifts

Many people have taken the opportunity to memorialize a deceased friend or loved one through a gift to the Helen Keller National Center. These gifts of the heart are a distinctive way of paying tribute to someone special to you, as well as a way of showing that you care about HKNC.

For more information on memorial gift funds or to designate the Helen Keller National Center as the beneficiary of gifts in honor of someone who has passed away, please contact the Development Department at development@hknc.org or call (516) 944-8900 Ext. 310 between 8:45 am – 4:30 pm.

The Giving Plan
Donors now have the opportunity to make their contributions to the Helen Keller National Center through monthly or quarterly payments. The Giving Plan provides a convenient method for spreading payment of your gift over an entire year or over several years. Gifts of Securities
A gift of appreciated securities that has been held more than one year offers two benefits to the donor: income tax deduction for their fair market value and avoidance of capital gains tax on appreciation in value.

Planned Gifts
Many dedicated supporters of the Helen Keller National Center have discovered the rewards of including the agency in their estate plans. If you would like more information on making a planned gift, please speak with your financial advisor or contact that director of development at 516-944-8900, Ext 310.

Matching Gifts
Your employer may have a matching gift program. When an employee makes a charitable contribution, the company will match the charitable donation and forward the check to the Helen Keller National Center directly.

To check to see if your company will match your gift, ask your Human Resources Department about the availability of this program.
